Car Boot Sale

We are no longer hosting regular car boot sales at Bowden House.

In our first year, 2005, we continued the longstanding tradition of having car boot sales here on the grounds. This sociable form of recycling fits very well into our overall plans and we enjoyed having so many interesting people here every Sunday and finding great bargains ourselves too! But in the end we decided not to continue with weekly car boots and had only one - hugely successful – car boot extravaganza in August 2006. The amount of work involved, the relatively small income from it, plus the fact that we realized that we needed to put more energy into the development of the community, led to this decision. This year (2008) we had four car boot sales planned but sadly two of them had to be cancelled due to the weather. There are currently no more car boots planned but we will post the information on this website and via our newsletter.
